Camp Woodward BMX

Check out the latest construction update at Woodward Tahoe as Nate Wessel takes you through the building called The Bunker.  Woodward Tahoe is scheduled to open June of 2012 and will offer Snowboard, Freeski, Skateboard, BMX and Digital Media camps.

Woodward has team up with vitaminwater and long time Woodward Camper, member of the Camp Woodward show on FUEL TV and now young super pro Chad Kerley to give away five Woodward camper week scholarships.  The camper week scholarships will be given away during the live web cast of Chad Kerley's vitaminwater Invitational on May 12, 2012, beginning at 4:00 pm CST.  You can find the rules and instructions on how to enter and watch the live web cast at RIDEBMX.COM/CKI .  Good luck!

Crazy to think that the first day of camp is only a few weeks away.   Everyone around here has started dreaming of what will be this summer including Steve McCann.   Check out this video edit! 

The weather has been crazy, with a freak April snow storm to start off this week, and now some more mild weather blowing in.  California Skateparks is hard at work on phase 2 of the last years snake run.   This second phase seems to be longers and looks like it will contain more obstacles then phase 1.  I can't wait to see this whole thing take shape.  View some more shots inside and don't forget to stay tuned to our site future updates.

Well,  i guess it is that time of the year again.  The amazing guys at California Skateparks are back and they brought some heavy machines to move some dirt.  To be honest, i haven't seen the plans myself but i can only imagine good things are about to happen as they always do when these guys are involved.   Be sure to stay posted to our website, and i will do my best to give picture updates of everything going on.  2012 is looking good!

It's always fun to mess around with other cameras, video formats, and lighting.  Last summer that is exactly what was done one night in Lot 8 on the box jump.   Century Optics had just released their fisheye add on for the iphone.  Add to that one amazing BMX rider in Mike Payne and this is what you get!  Enjoy.

Florent Soulas made the trip from France over to the United States this spring and spent some quality time riding his bike in New York City as well at Camp Woodward.   He was able to put together this well shot video documenting his trip and amazing riding.  This is one you want to see!   Enjoy.

Pre-Camp is always a crazy time at camp.  With such a large facility, getting all the cabins, skateparks, shops, etc, ready for camp is always a bit time crunching.   Luckily the weather broke early and has been pretty nice for us.   The Heathens crew has even been out starting to scrape and shape the dirt jumps!   With this amazing weather, it already feels like summer!

Hyper Bikes has just released this new edit that welcomes Keith Schmidt to their BMX pro team.  Keith is Woodward in the flesh, as he started working at Camp when he was younger flipping burgers, tearing down and skateparks in precamp and has now solidified himself in BMX by joining the Hyper Pro team.   Woodward would like to send out congrats to Keith.  We wish you all the luck in the future.  Check out his new edit.
